DRUK AIR [Royal Bhutan Airlines] is the national carrier of the Royal Government of Bhutan, operating to seven cities in six countries. The airline operates two BAe146-100 series and two A319. Druk Air is also the General Sales Agent for Thai International in Bhutan. Druk Air’s mountain flight offers an opportunity to experience a bird’s eye view of many of the mountains in the Bhutan Himalayas and also see some of the more remote and beautiful parts of the Kingdom. Taking off from the airport situated in the valley of Paro at 7,333 ft., the flight makes a rough figure eight route across the length of the country.

The hour long flight offers a myriad scenery from the towering heights of the Eastern Himalayas to the subtropical forests of the foothills. DETAILS OF Druk -Air

The flights are planned for operations on charter throughout the year subject to weather. Out of the total capacity of 10-business class and 62 economy class seats of the BEA 146 aircraft, only 8 business and 18 economy seats are sold. This restriction has been created in order to allow passengers to relax and gain maximum viewing. Based on the past charter operations the demand for mountain flights have been during the months of October, November and December due to the clear skies.

Schedule/Fare

Flights are available throughout the year on charter basis. Charter reservations are requested to be made at least 14 working days in advance for us to make necessary flight clearances.
